*Rep. Kwamoti B Laori Distributes Rice, Sewing and Irrigation Machines to Constituents*

 



Amidst economic hardship and widespread food insecurity In an effort to palliate the suffering of the people in the face of high inflation, widespread hunger and food insecurity, the member representing Demsa/Numan/Lamurde Federal constituency has distributed bags of parboiled rice, sewing machines, water pumps to support constituents means livelihood. 


Represented by Hon. Geoffrey Alhassan Kwashi at the flag-off of distribution, the  member bemoaned the rising cost of living where  he blamed  bad governance and collective failure of leadership as being chief reasons precipitating the woes, he thereafter called on the people to make necessary adjustment and judicious use of available resources to survive the current hard times faced throughout the country. 

The law maker frowned at the fact that the National Assembly has been reduced to a parliament of palliative distribution instead of creating laws that will better the lot of the common man, he bemoaned the little or no effort geared towards a permanent or sustainable solution to the problems of society. 


The member further encouraged his constituents to remain law abiding and use the empowerment items provided to boost food production. He assured that he will continue to do his best to support the people without neglecting the critical infrastructure needed for sustainable development such as education. 


He appealed for more understanding and support to continue to provide purposive representation even in challenging times such as being witnessed. 






In his remarks, the chairman of the distribution committee which comprise of representatives of the 30 Wards of Demsa, Numan, Lamurde, Hon. Ambule Gibson assured  the people of the committee's resolve to ensure fair and equitable distribution. He further stated that all logistics have been provided by the Reps members to transport the items to the target beneficiaries across the 30 Wards. 


Some of the beneficiaries present at the flag off thanked the law maker for the intervention,  describing it as suitable and timely, they also prayed God to continue to keep him safe. 


The event which took placed at the law maker's constituency office in Numan was brief and peaceful as LGA and ward representatives were seen taking their shares full of appreciation.
