In a rare display of identifying with his political developmental strides, the Member representing Numan/Demsa/Lamurde Federal Constituency today received the Council of Ulamas from his constituency at his Yola residence.


Mal. Lawan Badamasi, the Director Da'awa JIBWIS Northeast- Nigeria led other Ulamas on the solidarity visit.


In their various remarks, the Ulamas took turns to narrate how they were brainwashed, misled and deceived by some disgruntled leaders whose aim is to tarnish the rising profile of the lawmaker in the past.


Mal Abubakar Jibrin Babaji narrated how some mischievous politicians made him believe their negative disposition towards the Law Maker. 


Further exposing, Mal Babaji said until recently, many people were indoctrinated into hating Kwamoti on the basis of unfounded assertions.


The Ulamas appreciated in recount how the lives of many of their members were positively affected by the legislator.


The group specifically applauded his support towards the muslim Umma during Ramadan period , other Islamic celebrations, most especially for giving

some ulamas the opportunity to perform pilgrimage to the Holy land- one of the pillars of Islam.


On his part, Mal. Abdulsamad appreciated the Law maker for recently constructing a bridge that solved an agelong problem in Nasarawo- Demsa axis . He emphasized that the project has contributed to making life better for the people in the area. 


According to Mal. Ismaila Ahmed, it is by keeping open mind that they were able to objectively assess the Law makers performance. He further maintained that Most of them have finally realized that Laori is a complete opposite of what they have been made to believe over the years.


The Ulamas pledged to champion a sensitization campaign that would change the lies many have believe for years through continuous engagement.


Mal Abdulsamad also appreciate Laori on behalf of the entire Umma of Bayan- Kori for the love shown them by the Law Maker.


All the ulamas present applauded the law maker for his hospitality and the developmental projects he has executed across his constituency urging him to do more.


In his response, Hon Laori thanked the Ulamas for coming, and thereafter urged them to continue to preach unity, tolerance and peaceful coexistence to their followers.


He stressed that his doors are open for any constructive engagement that is essential for forstering peace and understanding among the people.


Hon. Laori narrated how as a primary school pupil in the 1970s he freely goes to drink cold water from the clay pots at Numan Central mosque with his shoes on until one day an elderly man told him to always remove his shoes whenever he has to go into the mosque to drink water. He said it taught him a lesson to which he understood how Islam operates even as a child then.


He therefore encouraged constant constructive engagement and clear communication as a panacea for fostering peace and understanding among a heterogeneous society such as ours.


He admonished the ulamas to guard against rumor peddling instead to verify information before acting upon it so as to avoid misjudgements.


The visit was ended with prayers for the Law Maker and commitment on the part of the Ulamas to support the Reps member in all his political endeavor.


Those in attendance included Mal. Abubakar Jibrin Babaji, Sani Abdullahi, Babale Mai- Agogo, Abdullahi Mohd, Alhassan Saidu Belle, Mohd Ibrahim, Mohd Ladan, Mohd Nurudeen, Mal. Kamisu Ibrahim, Ismaila Ahmed, Mal. Yakubu, Isa Bello and host of others.


On a lighter note, Hon. Kwamoti noticed that Mal. Babale Danjuma Mai-Agogo was without a wristwatch and instantly removed his Silver watch and offered Mal. Babale so he can truly answer his name as *Mai- Agogo* .


This draw laughter and appreciation as the group dispersed.

The Member representing Nunan/ Demsa / Lamurde  federal Constituency Rt. Hon. Kwamoti B Laori has commissioned a block of 3 classrooms in fulfillment of campaign promise made to the community when he noticed a block of 3 Classroom as the only building that  accommodated the whole school at that time, a situation he described as unacceptable.


The Hon. Commissioner for Education , Hon. Mrs. Wilbina Jackson who commissioned the project appreciated the Law maker for what she described as " invaluable contribution " in complimenting the Fresh Air Administration in the  area of education and basic infrastructure development throughout his Constituency. 


She  further  assured the community that, the state government would deploy more teachers, provide more furniture, as well as erect a perimeter  fence that would guarantee safe and conducive environment for learning.  


The Head of Service Demsa and Community leaders applauded the effort of the law maker while urging him to do more to uplift the living standard of his constituents.


The Head of Service, Demsa LGA promise to support the school with basic furniture and teaching aides while promising to put the structure to good use.


Also present at the occasion on account of goodwill and appreciation were  the Dep. Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Pwamwakaino Makondo, Hon. Dishi Khobe, Hon. James Iliya, Hon. Innocent Koto, Hon. Leader Leneke, Hon. Happy Maxwell, Hon  John Tunor, Hon. Malena John Manassah, the District Head of Demsa, PDP Ward and LGA EXCO, CAN Chairman, Muslim Council, youth associations as well as many stakeholders too numerous to mention.
